On Sunday, 6 April 2008, a team of eleven regular guys will attempt the impossible - the Two Cities Challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK. In Summer 2007, two of the team suffered close family bereavements as a result of cancer.

The Challenge will take place in three stages over one gruelling week in April 2008:

  • Run the Paris Marathon on Sunday, 6 April;
  • Cycle from Paris to London between Monday, 7 April and Friday, 11 April;
  • Run the London Marathon on Sunday, 13 April.

    We are approaching family, friends, colleagues and clients in the hope of raising in excess of £100,000 for Cancer Research UK. We would be grateful if you could please visit our fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/twocitieschallenge and donate generously.

    We will also be holding a Charity Auction on 16 April 2008. Please click here for further details. If you are unable to attend but would like to bid for an experience please let us know your maximum bid and we will act for you on the evening. You can do this by either letting your contact know or by emailing your bid to 2citieschallenge@jonesday.com.

    In addition, members of an Elite Squad will be supporting the Challenge by taking part in either the Paris or the London Marathon (although none of the Elite Squad will attempt both Marathons or even the cycle). Please click here for further details of the Elite Squad.

    We are updating the Diary on a weekly basis so please come back every Friday for an update on our progress.
